Paramount

Every mention, in time. Each mark is a day — taller means more that day — and links to the moment.

Tim’s take

He treats Paramount mainly as an example of media consolidation that changes nothing — cable and appointment viewing are already dead, so merging Paramount with Warner Bros just makes a bigger corpse rather than a business 28:01. He calls the strategy behind it "too big to fail," with executives smashing studios together to diffuse blame while still firing the actual people who make anything, like Chuck getting escorted out so they can keep Mission Impossible 35:17 36:56.

Once Larry Ellison's family is running Paramount and buying CBS, his tone shifts from industry cynicism to something more pointed: he frames it as an ideologically driven takeover, installing Bari Weiss to deliver what he calls Israeli propaganda and gut standards and practices, complete with a blacklist of actors who'll never work at Paramount 52:10 31:25. He still folds in the Gulf financing and the Netflix bidding war as further evidence nobody involved actually cares about the product, just the leverage 13:44 1:18:59.
