Privacy

No accounts, no advertising, nothing sold to anybody. There is analytics, because otherwise there is no way to tell whether the search works or is quietly broken. This page says what that involves.

What runs in your browser

Almost every page here is a static file, built ahead of time. There is no login, no comment box and no newsletter signup. The one form on the site is the search box.

The floating player remembers its size, position and what you were listening to, using your browser’s sessionStorage. That stays on your machine, is never transmitted anywhere, and is discarded when you close the tab.

Analytics

This site uses PostHogto see how it is being used — which pages get opened, what gets clicked, and above all whether the search actually found what someone came for. That last one is the reason it is here. The whole point of the site is that you can find a bit you half-remember, and there is no way to know whether it does that, or is quietly broken, without looking at what happens after a search.

Search terms are stored along with it, because a search nobody can read teaches nothing. Do not type anything into it you would mind being kept. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, none of this runs.

It gets used to fix things and to make the search better. Nothing else. There is no advertising here and never will be, so none of it is used to target anything at you, and it is not sold or shared with anybody.

The other third party: YouTube

Episodes are watched through an embedded YouTube player, and episode pages show YouTube’s thumbnail images. Those are requests to Google’s servers, which means Google can see your IP address and may set its own cookies — particularly once you press play. That is Google’s data collection underits own privacy policy, not ours, and we receive none of it.

This is the trade for never hosting the media. The show belongs on the channels he publishes it to; this site points at them rather than mirroring them.

Hosting logs

The site is served by a commercial static host, which keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) as any web server does. We do not analyse them, build profiles from them, or connect them to anything else.

What will never appear here

No advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsorships, no paid tiers, no newsletter, and no accounts. That is a standing rule of the project rather than a current state of affairs — the point of the site is that someone can find a bit they half-remember, and none of the above helps with that.

Changes

If the site ever starts doing something this page does not describe, this page gets updated in the same change. Last reviewed 31 July 2026.
