LAPD

Every mention, in time. Each mark is a day — taller means more that day — and links to the moment.

Tim’s take

He calls the LAPD one of the most corrupt police forces in the country and says it more than once, treating it as a settled fact rather than an argument he needs to make 38:06 1:54. The specifics back it up as incompetence as much as corruption: cops too scared to pit-maneuver a slow chase for hours 13:13 19:31, officers fired for chasing a Pokemon instead of a robbery 7:00, and his own stop by a self-declared 'drug recognition expert' running a bogus sobriety test 1:54.

He doesn't land on defund-the-police either — he mocks the list of calls LAPD now refuses to answer as making the city worse 42:10, and treats Caruso's reform pitch as theater, comparing fixing the department to firing a drunk chef at a restaurant 1:05:49. When crime actually happens, from a stabbing at a furniture store to Nordstrom being looted, he notes LAPD is who people end up needing anyway 2:57 30:58.
