He treats his own time there as the low point of his adult life — going back at 27 or 28 to finish an associate's degree he never actually collects, eating Taco Bell in the food court, mortified to be doing gym class with teenagers 13:50 22:23 16:53. He carves out one exception: the debate team, which he calls the only thing that resembled a real college experience, including a national gold medal won while stoned 48:29.
