Haiti

Every mention, in time. Each mark is a day — taller means more that day — and links to the moment.

Tim’s take

He mostly uses Haiti two ways: as a punchline for disaster and exploitation, and as evidence of American meddling gone unpunished 55:45 40:22. He jokes about the Clinton Foundation raising money and building a porta-potty while Haitians hate them 40:22, riffs on the 2010 earthquake and the migrant crisis at Del Rio 24:07, and turns a Boston woman's Haitian migrant houseguests into an indentured-servant bit 1:00:27. There's no single argument, just a recurring backdrop for grim jokes and swipes at people who claim to help 1:22:06 46:43.
