Obamacare

Every mention, in time. Each mark is a day — taller means more that day — and links to the moment.

Tim’s take

He keeps returning to one story: before comedy he worked as a mall Santa hired to lure low-income kids to a truck where he signed their families up for Obamacare 9:17 4:57. He tells it as evidence that nothing good ever comes out of a truck — insurance included — and it recurs almost verbatim years apart, down to the chicken-costume competition for attention 6:59 26:48.

Beyond the anecdote he treats Obamacare mostly as a symbol of failed promises, needling "free health care" as never actually free and mocking a judge striking down the mandate as legally absurd 9:17 1:02:55. He's willing to defend it too, calling rollbacks of ACA trans protections something he's against and citing premium doubling and lost coverage as real stakes, while also using it as a punchline for political dysfunction generally 1:42:42 46:05 9:59 5:33.
